Carvers Corner
(Or Gary’s Gossip Column)

We had a small group of carvers doing ornaments and baskets on the 25th of October. They did have some wonderful food as we had to have them deliver some to Mildred, Suzi and I at the polls.

Our Annual Trick or Treat day was great except for the wind and cold. The sleet, rain and spitting snow didn’t help much either. We did have 222 hearty souls on that chilly night and 45 preschoolers for a total of 267.

The Comfort Bird project is still in full swing and we are still waiting on our broker to get our account ready. I talked to Ed Snyder and he is ready when they are.

If you have a favorite recipe for Our Recipe Corner just e-mail it to me and I’ll run it one month. Most of the recipes I had were lost when my PC crashed.

Yes, I know the N/L is late but I wanted to get all the Halloween stuff in it and the news about the Brokerage account.

Basket Class & Open Carve being held on November 11 will be a great time for carvers to work on Ornaments or Birds.

Dues are $10.00 + $1.00 per each family member. Always due in December.

Board Meeting

We will hold our Board meeting on
December 2, 2014 to conduct business.

We’ll meet at 5:30.

All are welcome at our meetings
Board members bring your notebooks.

A Note from the Chairman

Remember that the December Auction needs some donations to make it a success.

I still want to thank all who are helping with the Comfort Birds. I am very proud of our members and all that they do. We do have our Broker’s Account ready and may already have the transfer done by the time you get this newsletter.

Thanks again.

Many carving items are for sale here at the club. One of our past members Lyman Dudley passed and his wife Annie is selling his tools.
