(Or Gary’s Gossip Column)

With all that was on going this month it’s surprising that the C.C.A. Competition and Seminars went off without a hitch. We had a Wonderful group of students and three great instructors. Excellent food as always and so much fun it’s impossible to relay it all here. And it is already full for next year.

          It’s been hot here in August but we did finally get some rain. It didn’t cool it down very much but the grass is growing.

          We have a project planned and will start it soon if all goes well. Come to the Board of Directors meeting and find out.

     Dues are $10.00 + $1.00 per each family member. Always due in December.

          I would personally like to thank all who helped with the CCA seminar and the C.C.A. Competition. I will not mention names as I would forget someone by accident. We got a lot of feedback on our club and what great treatment that they received. I am very proud of our members and all that they do. We’re looking forward to next year. Thanks again.

OUR RECIPE CORNER
from the Kitchen of Donna Anderson

BEER BREAD

3 1/2 CUPS ALL PURPOSE FLOUR
3 TABLESPOONS SUGAR
1 TABLESPOON BAKING POWDER
1 1/2 TEASPOON SALT
12 OZ. CAN BEER
1 EGG, BEATEN

ADJUST RACK TO LOWER MEDIUM, HEAT TO 375 DEG.
MIX FLOUR, SUGAR, BAKING POWDER AND SALT IN LARGE BOWL
ADD BEER (NO SIPPING)
STIR WITH A FORK ONLY TILL COMBINED.
TURN OUT ON FLOORED SURFACE..KNEAD QUICKLY TO FORM A BALL.
PLACE BREAD IN BAKING SHEET…ROUND IT OUT

THEN PUT AN “X” ON TOP…AND BRUSH WITH THE EGG WASH.
BAKE FOR 45 MINUTES.
